Pakistani officials issued a statement saying the government would retract its original claim that Benazir Bhutto died from a skull fracture arising from hitting her head on the latch of her car's sunroof. The doctors' report states that the former prime minister died from an "open head injury with depressed skull fracture, leading to cardiopulmonary arrest." That is certainly a far cry from simply banging your head.
They decided it would be prudent to wait for the final forensics report before making claims regarding her assassination. In addition, the Interior Ministry--speaking for the government--issued a reward to anyone who can identify those responsible in Thursday's assassination of Bhutto. And for safety reasons they will keep your identity secret.
