Barack Obama plays dumb

Hillary Clinton currently is giving Barack Obama a good thrashing in Florida, but his campaign is playing off the state's voters as unimportant.

His campaign has said, "The voters of Florida do not know Obama, because Democratic candidates were not allowed to campaign there."

Hmm! Does Obama really expect us to believe we are living in the 19th century again? Just because the Democratic National Committee penalized Florida's Democratic delegates, doesn't mean they also blocked television, newspapers, radio, and Internet from working there.

Let's get serious for a minute. The people of Florida, I believe completely, have been watching this election season from their homes, and checking out the candidates on the Internet, too. In essence, those voters, who just voted in the Florida Democratic primary, did so out of personal conviction and knowledge of the candidates on the ballot. (Also, Obama is the media's darling, his coverage great and flattering, so his campaign's explanation of Clinton's win is moot.)

Florida's voters are a varied cross-section of America's electorate. It's not fifty-percent African-American, like South Carolina; rather, it's a hodge-podge of the great "melting pot." Does that breed a private fear in the Obama campaign?

You bet!

Obviously, American voters--at-large--are not going to be looking at Florida and saying, "Oh, that primary does not count, because there are no delegates being seated, so I am going to ignore who won that election." Obama just pretends this election will not be important or have an impact on future voters in other states. Hillary will benefit from tonight's win in Florida.

Hillary is on to victory!
