Comedian Drew Carey has been slated by The Price Is Right producers to fill the incredibly large shoes left behind by former host Bob Barker.
Carey, whose professional credits include The Drew Carey Show and Who's Line Is It Anyway?, will have to climb out from beneath the shadow left behind by Barker, even before taping his first show.
It is certain that Carey's style will take the mainstay game show into a completely different direction. After thirty years of "coming on down" everyday with Bob Barker, it may be too much of a leap for many of the show's faithful to make.
I wish him luck, however!
