In what may turn out to be a futile attempt at maintaining the support of the United Kingdom, George W. Bush hosted British prime minister, Gordon Brown, at Camp David over the weekend.
Since Tony Blair's departure, Bush may be alone in the world when it comes to his actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, considering the UK was the United States' greatest ally and supporter in Bush's quest to bring "democracy" to the uncivilized world.
Considering Blair's resignation as prime minister was instigated--in part--by the unyielding war in Iraq, it will be advantageous for Brown to move in a different direction when it comes to his country's foreign policy, for his own sake, at least.
