George W. Bush in Albania

George W. Bush became the first sitting United States president to visit the eastern European country of Albania.

And guess what?

They seemed to like him. Many people lined up to greet Bush in Fushe Kruje, where he stopped to greet onlookers on his way to Tirana. They reached for him, called for him, one person even reached out and rubbed his head (to the disapproval of the U.S. Secret Service, in tow).

If Bush is so loved in this small European nation, then he should probably move there. I don't think anyone in the United States will miss him one little bit, except maybe for Dick Cheney. And for what it's worth, he can move over there with him, also.

The Albanians know what it is like to love a dictator, though. They loved Enver Hoxha for about forty years.
