Draft

The president's war advisor, Lt. General Douglas Lute, is a raving moron.

In order to maintain the morale of the military, he thinks that a draft would do more to make those currently serving in the military--on a volunteer basis--feel better about their service. It might cut down on the number of tours of duty they have to complete. In addition, it makes their families feel more at ease about their loved one's service.

Aw, how touching.

Perhaps, instead of panhandling to Bush's incessant belief that war in Iraq is good for America, he might want to tell the president that the war should be ended immediately.

But for the most part, Bush is happy with the current status quo, inasmuch as the military is concerned. He says that the all-volunteer armed forces is just peachy with him.
