After the interstate bridge failed, the other day, in Minneapolis, there has been beefed up inspections of all the nation's bridges.
I have witnessed--first-hand--how busy the Transportation Cabinet has been in Kentucky, alone. It would seem that our bridges (Kentucky has 14,000 of them) only need to be inspected after a major disaster hundreds of miles away occurs.
