After scheduling its primary for January 15, Democratic Party members voted to suspend Michigan's delegates to the Democratic Party's 2008 national convention.
Democratic Party rules only allow certain states--Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina--to hold caucuses and primaries before February 5.
