Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson (R) announced today that he doesn't even want to be president. It's almost as if he announced to the world that he is more like a five year old child, instead of a grown man, when it comes to admitting to his poll numbers.
So what if he is loosing in the polls, even in places like South Carolina, where he once believed he was leading? He says he wasn't even running for president anyhow. "I’m not particularly interested in running for president," he said to drive his point home further.
If that is the case, then why have people been donating money to his presidential campaign? Why has he been attending Republican presidential debates? For a man who isn't running for president, he sure has been spending a lot of time doing it!
As I said before, he is like a little child who has decided he is going to be difficult and say the opposite of what he wants in hopes that people will take pity on him and give him the coveted toy he so eloquently and publicly professes not to be interested in obtaining, which in this case is the presidency.
If he's truly not running for commander-in-chief, then he needs to park his presidential campaign tour bus in the Iowa snow and let those who are running have the right-of-way, because he's just taking up precious space.
