North Korea agrees to disable nuke program

In talks with the United States, North Korea has agreed it would disable its nuclear program by the end of this year.

In exchange for the shut down of its program, North Korea will receive oil and other aid. South Korea has already provided 50,000 tons of oil to its neighbor, in July. North Korea hopes to receive 950,000 tons of oil, in all.

This announcement comes at the same time Iran declared it is ratcheting up its nuclear program.
