President Bush vetoed a farm subsidies bill today. Bush said it gave too much preference to big scale farmers, rather than average farmers. Why does Bush care about the common person now? He has invested billions in tax breaks for the wealthy, including corporate subsidies, and now he is worried about impacting the middle class.
I find this curious, to say the least.
Congress for the first time in Bush's tenure as president of the United States is poised to override his veto. Does this mark the final demise of President Bush? He is now seen as a pariah by his own political party.
Poor George.
