As Ford looks to slash more than 30,000 of its employees, it is rewarding its new CEO, Alan Mulally, with $24 million, after only four months on the job.
Where is the reason behind such a decision? It would seem that a company that is steadily heading toward bankruptcy, would look to secure itself financially. It is such financial packages, like Mulally's, that makes you wonder if such a company is worth keeping around. I doubt any of the 30,000 Ford Motor employees, who are about to receive their walking papers, would object to my assessment.
