After voting for Barack Obama, African-Americans are seeing the true nature of Obama. Hillary was abandoned by black voters en masse, despite her strong record on civil rights. Yet, at the State of the Black Union conference, in New Orleans, Senator Clinton will be the only presidential candidate to attend.
Obama sent a letter to the conference's chairperson stating he's too busy to attend. It would seem that when the African-American base is no longer needed to win an election, Barack Obama is much too occupied to care about their causes. I think this single issue speaks volumes on his character as a leader and his commitment to civil rights issues. There are, indeed, candidates who only speak out on issues when it is advantageous for them to do so. It would seem Senator Obama is one of those candidates.
Thank you, Senator Clinton, for being a true leader, and not simply a candidate trolling for votes!
